PREPRESS WORKFLOW COORDINATOR

The primary purpose of the job is:
The Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling all spot color incoming jobs and moving them through the various stages of production. He or she will also be responsible for managing the production schedule and Quality Control process from order entry to press to ensure timely and quality delivery of orders. The Traffic Coordinator will work closely with our front office, prepress & press room. This individual must be very organized, detail oriented, and a seasoned multi-tasker who is not afraid of a fast-paced environment. The hours for this position are 9am - 5pm

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manages order entry for new orders within our billing software.
  • Assist in re-prioritizing project schedules as new projects are added or priorities shift. The ability to facilitate rapid change management is a must.
  • Proofing orders before plating for press, to ensure order specifications are accurate.
  • Changing plate material in platesetters, along with fielding any issues that may occur while plating.

Qualifications

  • Prior prepress workflow experience preferred
  • A motivated self-starter who is innovative and organized with a positive attitude.

BINDERY LEAD POSITION
Our bindery specialist should have the ability to oversee the work of others in the bindery department, as well as produce their own work at the same time. We are looking for individuals with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to keep up with the work flow in a fast paced & busy production environment. Mechanical ability is a must, bindery experience is preferred. Work hours are 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional overtime. Hourly wage is negotiable, based on experience and ability. This full-time position has health benefits, with vacation time.

Full Time Bindery position

The primary purpose of the job is:
Our bindery crew needs a quick thinker who is not afraid of a fast-paced environment. The job responsibility involves reading work orders and setting up equipment according to project specifications. You will work with our other crew members to complete orders and must be able to communicate effectively to coordinate efforts. Bindery operators will be responsible for quality control before a job is completed. Machines must be checked before and after each project for possible defects. They must be cleaned prior to being used on new projects. Bindery operators also perform regularly scheduled maintenance checks on all equipment. This position will involve much of the day standing, and if necessary, lifting heavy boxes of paper, bending, stooping and performing repetitive tasks. The work environment is loud, due to the various equipment we use during the production day.

The hours are 6am - 2pm.

While experience is always wonderful, we offer on-site training.

FULL COLOR PREPRESS / DIGITAL PRINT OPERATOR

As a Digital Printer Operator, your primary responsibility will be to produce all jobs in compliance with specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures. You must meet customer time requirements while operating efficiently.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who can work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.  He or she must have an understanding of digital copiers, including their functions and processes, an aptitude for math and a strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow instructions for machine set-up and maintenance.

Strong computer skills are required, including a working knowledge of applications such as InDesign, Microsoft Word, Acrobat, Illustrator, PowerPoint, Excel, and Photoshop.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Imposes files for output using InDesign and produces digital print jobs

Schedules jobs by due dates indicated or as requested by management

Calls for copier maintenance when necessary and notifies management

Operates all equipment in accordance with equipment operating procedures

Communicates with other employees for a complete understanding of the order

Proofreads work and previews files to ensure accuracy and quality

Performs troubleshooting of the equipment when necessary

Rejects poor quality or incorrect jobs and notifies management

Sends proofs to customers

Completes basic typesetting tasks such as creating business cards.

Prepare jobs for a Direct Imaging Press

Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner

Assist in operation and clean-up of digital Print area

Check and verify print output against sample to key information and indicators.

Identify material with poor quality and seek assistance if needed to correct.

Routinely load and manipulate digital print files.

Maintain acceptable production speeds.

Work involves frequent standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

Performs other duties as assigned
 

QUALIFICATIONS

An understanding of digital copiers, their functions and processes

Familiarity with print shop standards and workflow

Ability to meet tight deadlines while multi-tasking.

Able to follow written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance

A basic understanding of different types of paper (weight, finish)

A working knowledge of and experience using InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Understanding of finishing operations including cutting, scoring, folding and saddle-stitching.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE POSITION

JOB SUMMARY: 
Performs a variety of accounting and bookkeeping duties according to established policies and procedures. Maintains contact with attorneys, staff, vendors and clients and observes confidentiality of client and firm matters. 
•    Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (CMS, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
•    Generates accounting statements and reports.
•    Researches cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
•    Prepares daily bank deposit.
•    Researches and applies unallocated cash.
•    Oversees client trust accounts, accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals.
•    Develops automated spreadsheets.
•    Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator.
•    Organizes and maintains up to date financial records.
•    Provides monthly financial and management reports.
•    Maintains telephone and personal contact with attorneys, staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by manager.
•    Reads, uses and is familiar with computer systems manuals and procedures, maintains and updates procedural manuals as needed.
•    Assists in financial management and analysis, as requested.
•    Organizes and maintains retention files for required period of time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•    High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
•    2 years hands-on Accounting experience preferred.
•    Basic computer skills and word processing.
•    Good mathematical background
•    Some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems
•    Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
•    Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently

Part-Time Delivery Driver - Company car provided

Compensation: $9.00/hour to start

We are looking for a reliable driver for our daily route in the Chesapeake/Portsmouth/Suffolk area. This is a part time position, but light bindery work also applies in the mornings. Hours are 9:00am - 2:00pm approximately. The end time will depend on traffic conditions and the number of stops per day. Monday through Friday. Our driver only delivers to storefronts, no residential deliveries. Company vehicle is provided, along with company gas card. Great driving record required.
